Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos is a mineral fiber found in over 3,000 products. Some of the most common products that can contain asbestos include:

  • Floor Coverings
  • Boiler And Pipe Insulation
  • Roofing
  • Siding

Asbestos is a potential health risk that can cause lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis. Prior to any renovation or commercial-and-residential-demolition-services, all material containing asbestos must be removed if impacted. When removal is required, Haz-Pros is ready to handle any size project, from a single family home to a large occupied commercial building.

The professionals at Haz-Pros are experts in planning and executing every facet of the asbestos abatement process. Whether your situation requires removal, encapsulation or enclosure.

Haz-Pros is especially proud of our strong reputation for asbestos abatement in occupied buildings – like hospitals and schools – where work must be done meticulously. Our record of repeat business speaks to our success with these sensitive projects.

You can be sure that all materials removed from your structure will be disposed of at a prequalified facility to ensure protection of the environment.

Lead-Based Paint

Any structure built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. When lead-based paint is chipped, sanded, or scraped into small pieces or dust it can be harmful to children if swallowed or inhaled.

Haz-Pros has skilled, licensed carpentry crews to properly remove and replace all lead based building components. Leaded areas can also be enclosed with approved encapsulants that can seal a surface for up to 20 years.

Demolition

Haz-Pros commercial-and-residential-demolition-services crews are cross trained in a variety of disciplines. This ensures a safe work environment and job production second to none. All commercial-and-residential-demolition-services projects are approved by in-house engineers and designed specifically to meet individual customer needs. From razing a three-storey building to selectively demolishing the interior of a hospital, Haz-Pros has the skilled personnel necessary to complete the job.

Like we always say, “Our jobs don’t end with clean up, they end with follow up.”

Mold Remediation

Mold spores are living microscopic organisms that are found everywhere. They travel through the air, land on surfaces and grow new colonies if moisture and a food source are present. Mold can thrive on any organic based materials, such as wood, insulation, ceiling tiles, sheetrock and carpeting.

All mold is a potential hazard and should be removed. Once moisture problems are eliminated and controlled, then the mold can be remediated. Mold can be removed from hard nonporous surfaces by HEPA vacuuming and treating with biocide. Porous materials, such as carpeting, furniture or sheetrock, need to be discarded and replaced. Haz-Pros can provide containment, clean up and replacement of these materials.

Deconstruction Services

Haz-Pros is a strong proponent of minimizing waste and maximizing the reuse and recycling of building materials such as windows, doors, lighting fixtures, hardware, flooring, plumbing fixtures and fittings.

The benefits to the environment and community are two-fold:

  • The salvaged material stays out of our landfills.
  • Carefully extracted building materials are offered back to the marketplace, where they can be reused in new construction projects.

With the high costs of hauling and processing construction waste — augmented by the growing challenge of over-burdened landfills — recycling and green slavage has become the method of choice for environmentally conscious deconstruction contractors. Many items may be useful to someone else, or even reused on the same renovation project the material was extracted from.

In addition to minimizing landfill impact and waste, Haz-Pros knows that reusing salvaged building materials also minimizes the demand for tree harvesting, mining, water, energy, and other natural resources. And in long-term analyses, green salvage practices reduce the need for toxic materials used to process, manufacture and transport new construction materials.
