Lead-Based Paint

Any structure built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. When lead-based paint is chipped, sanded, or scraped into small pieces or dust it can be harmful to children if swallowed or inhaled.

Haz-Pros has skilled, licensed carpentry crews to properly remove and replace all lead based building components. Leaded areas can also be enclosed with approved encapsulants that can seal a surface for up to 20 years.

Mold Remediation

Mold spores are living microscopic organisms that are found everywhere. They travel through the air, land on surfaces and grow new colonies if moisture and a food source are present. Mold can thrive on any organic based materials, such as wood, insulation, ceiling tiles, sheetrock and carpeting.

All mold is a potential hazard and should be removed. Once moisture problems are eliminated and controlled, then the mold can be remediated. Mold can be removed from hard nonporous surfaces by HEPA vacuuming and treating with biocide. Porous materials, such as carpeting, furniture or sheetrock, need to be discarded and replaced. Haz-Pros can provide containment, clean up and replacement of these materials.

Deconstruction Services

Haz-Pros is a strong proponent of minimizing waste and maximizing the reuse and recycling of building materials such as windows, doors, lighting fixtures, hardware, flooring, plumbing fixtures and fittings.
